Music video for VU University Amsterdam

Next to making music, I am working as a teacher of Dutch as Second Language. Recently, VU University Amsterdam has asked me to write a song for beginning Dutch learners.

The song I wrote is called ‘Hoe heet je?’ and features Tom van Nuenen on vocals and guitars. One of my former students, Afshin, filmed and edited a video for the song that will premiere at the open day for international students on August 30. More info soon!

“Oh my God, this music sounds terribly depressing”

Just had a new song mastered by Zlaya @ Studio 150, Amsterdam. As you can tell, he had to suffer the consequences.

The new record

Our new album Bird Hands will be released on April 1 and is already available as a pre-release (cd digipack) for 10 euros + shipping costs on the Cabin Music webshop.
If you prefer something a bit more exclusive, I would advise you to wait a few more weeks until the colored vinyl record arrives. The vinyl will appear as a limited edition with a free download included.

The album is also digitally available through iTunes a.o. You can hear the whole album here on Spotify.

New website

Welcome to the fresh new Clemm website!

Our new album ‘Bird Hands’ has been mixed & mastered and will be released on both vinyl and cd format later this year.

The album contains 14 tracks filled with a hard-to-define mix of indiepop, hiphop, electronica, folk & jazz. Clemm loves to create tension by mixing rather unexpected elements like post rock guitars with slick saxophones or folk ballad vocals with pumping beats. This remains however song-based material, definitely no needless experimentation here. An album for lovers of adventurous indiepop.

We will also start doing live shows with our new band, including John Carrie and Carelain Bergtop on vocals, backed up by a horn section providing them with some extra harmony and rhythm.
